What We Do

Every pet deserves quality care. That's why we provide only the most compassionate caregivers. From pet sitting to dog walking to training, we have your best friends covered. You can even request consultations on subjects as important as “Living with Your Pet.”

At ESP PETS, we know every pet is different. No two animals have the same needs, personality quirks, and dispositions. Before care begins, we meet with new clients to craft personalized service plans sure to please everyone. If you're ready to spoil your furry friends, contact us or take a look at the full list of what we offer.

Our Goal

We strive to provide people (and their pets) with reliable, skillful care. Pets are family, too – we get that. We'd accept nothing less than the best for our own pets, so you can expect the same level of service for yours. Whether you have to take a business trip, go on vacation, or work overtime, there's no need to worry.

Our Team

Evan Perlman
Owner and Lead Pet Specialist

Animals have always been a passion for Evan (especially dogs). At a young age, he forged a strong and unexplainable connection with them. Channeling that love into a career was the next natural step.

Evan was the very first hire at Spot, an on-site service at Newark Liberty Airport. Countless animals enjoyed a moment of relief under his watchful eye. He encountered dogs from every breed and background, from puppies to police K9s, rescues to world travelers. No matter what the challenge (some pups could be rather temperamental and difficult), Evan tackled it with kindness and warmth. To him, everybody mattered. Each dog provided him with invaluable experience that molded his approach to professional pet care.

Evan also learned how to read canine body language. This is crucial in determining how to handle dangerous situations and keep animals safe. Of course, plenty of cats visited the kennel, too. Most were domesticated, but unusual guests (like tiger cubs) did cross his path now and then. It wasn't long before the head honchos recognized his strong leadership skills and desire to expand the business. After appointing him Director of Spot's Airport Operations, Evan got the ball rolling, grabbing a place for Spot at Chicago's O'Hare airport.

But that's not the end of the story. As fate would have it, Evan ran across two police K9 trainers while working for United's Pet Safe program. They took him on as an apprentice, and his life changed forever.

In the course of a year, Evan learned a lot. He did anything and everything they asked of him, exposing him to the world of working dogs and sports dogs. He even became a PSA (Protection Sports Association) Decoy. He enjoyed spending time with the dogs so much, he adopted a Czech Line German Shepherd puppy named Lars.

Evan loved to tell people about the satisfaction he got from caring for animals stuck in a stressful environment. He not only felt fulfilled and happy at the end of the day, he also knew he was making a difference.

The animals he met every day were scared and nervous. They were either boarding a plane or had just endured a long and traumatizing flight. Evan wanted them to feel comfortable. He made sure to care for them as if they were his own, and he encouraged staff members to do the same. When the time was right, Evan created ESP PETS, paving the way for a new level of pet care.
